This could be worse.

It's bound to be better than the last bar I was at, anyway - speaking of, stay away from the Gliese system, kids. They aren't very friendly there. I've had better service in the Silver Devastation; and the hypervodka was watered down. Huge disappointment.

So I guess this is a fresh fresh start. Captain Jack Harkness, at your service. I'll be a warden here for a while. Now, who wants to start the introductions? I've got all the time in the world.

Oh, we've had you before. Here, let me just skip over the boring bits. 'Hello Captain, I'm the Doctor' 'Oh, which Doctor?' 'The one with the scarf and the curls, not your Doctor but a rather better one' 'So indeed you are! That's a rather fetching scarf, by the way' 'I told you that I was and thank you, would you care for a jelly baby?' 'Of course I would!'

There. Now that we've got the boring out of the way, of course the Gliese system isn't that friendly!

I didn't get my jelly baby.

I'll give it to you later. When I inevitably take you on the tour of the Barge or when we inevitably meet in the hallways.

I wouldn't mind a tour with an old friend that doesn't remember me with a fetching scarf.

[And up Jack went, pausing at one end of Level four to wait for the Doctor. At least he had something to go by. Now where was that fetching scarf...]

[The Doctor was standing smack dab in the middle of the hallway, wearing the fetching yet completely ridiculous scarf. Spotting Jack, he smiles, running towards the man.]

Jack! Hello! It's wonderful to see you again, don't you think? Of course, you were rather quiet the last time around. Perhaps it was just something happening back home?

[Back home. Had he been here during the 456 incident, and...? But that made no sense, so he shrugged, and managed to keep the smile plastered on.] I guess that must have been it. I don't remember any of this.

[The Doctor simply nodded.] Don't worry. That happens to a lot of people. At least you're not fictional. Or, if you are, nobody's told you about it. I hope you're not fictional.

[He shrugged.]

I don't know, event he fictional people here seem pretty real. [He chuckled.] Are you fictional?

Of course not! I'm me. The television show is just about me. [He smiled.]

Do I get a television show? [Grinning. Lots of grinning. He'd look good on TV. :|]

I don't know. You're probably just a supporting character. [The Doctor shrugs.]

Ouch. [He kept up the grin, though.] I'm sure I'm the best looking supporting role, though.

Perhaps. [The Doctor shrugged.]

So. you've got a scarf, my doctor had the ears, Martha's has the jacket...What are the rest of you known for?

The first me was old, the second me was short and the third me had this abysmal sense in fashion. I can't believe I wore velvet. [He frowned.]

Velvet has its good points. [Jack grinned] So, how about those jelly babies?

Of course. [The Doctor reached into his pockets and pulled out a small white bad. Undoing the top, he handed Jack two or three jelly babies.] There you go!

[Jack held out his hand and arched an eyebrow at the gummies. They were actually...babies. He held one up, staring.] Well. That's weird.
