This could be worse.

It's bound to be better than the last bar I was at, anyway - speaking of, stay away from the Gliese system, kids. They aren't very friendly there. I've had better service in the Silver Devastation; and the hypervodka was watered down. Huge disappointment.

So I guess this is a fresh fresh start. Captain Jack Harkness, at your service. I'll be a warden here for a while. Now, who wants to start the introductions? I've got all the time in the world.

Yeah. The differences between the Fourth and Fifth Doctors is massive. And the Seventh Doctor was brilliant.

Room 15, level three. Come escort away, Martha Jones.

[Martha was all to happy to go and meet Jack on the third level. She'd missed the Captain, and it had hurt when he had been here and left before without even seeing her. Quickly she found herself outside Jack's door and she knocked on it with a rather large grin.]

[The door swung open and revealed Jack with a big grin of his own. He threw his arms out wide.] Martha Jones, you get over here right now.

[When he threw his arms open, Martha launched herself into them and hugged him as tightly as he could. She couldn't stop grinning.] God I've missed you, Captain Jack Harkness.

You have no idea how good it is to see you. [He could use some of that Martha Jones pep. Which was vaguely ironic.]

[Martha just hugged uber tightly and closed her eyes.] You as well. It feels like it's been years and years.

I was thinking decades. Or centuries. [He grinned and lifted her off her feet for a moment, before settling her back down and finally letting go.] Definitely too long, either way you look at it.

[When he lifted her off her feet, Martha laughed quickly. It was easy, like this to forget everything that had happened since the last time that they had seen each other.] Definitely too long. How's everything? Fill me in on all the gossip. I've been out of the loop.

[He kept a hand on her back as he moved to usher them into the hall, closing the door behind him. Fill her in, he could do that. Yeah, right.] Well, Gwen's pregnant. Married Rhys, too. Before she got pregnant. Did I tell you about that? [He's been moving so much that things are a little fuzzy.]

[Martha grinned as they walked down the hallway.] Yeah, I knew she married Rhys. She invited me to the wedding but I was in India and couldn't back in time for it. I sent a gift. But preggers. I imagine that Rhys must have been beside himself. [She'd been back for Tosh and Owen's funerals, but she hadn't seen them since then.]

[Well, things did get pretty bleak for all of them, for a while.] He was a little miffed I found out first. [But Jack was grinning a bit, because he'd always enjoyed miffing Rhys.] But he'll be a good dad.

Yeah, don't ya mean a good mum there, Jack? [Martha grinned at him quickly, because she suspected that Gwen Cooper wore the pants in that relationship. Of course, she counted Gwen as a friend, which is why she felt the all right saying it. She lead him up the stairs towards the pub. Martha got the feeling that he was avoiding the subject of Ianto, so she didn't want to press on it.]

[And this is why he will probably turn to Martha for happy fun times instead of Tosh and Owen. They make him want to cry inside. Jack just chuckled and nodded as he trotted up the stairs with her.] You're right, he'll be the best mommy in Wales.

[Martha laughed quickly and easily at that.] When I get out of here, I'm going to need to sen Rhys a nice apron with that on it. Pink, blue or yellow do you think? [She grinned as they moved past the second level.] Infirmary, [the floor was pointed at as they moved past it, giving Jack a very brief tour. Of course the doing it when she got out of here was probably never going to happen; she doubted she'd remember everything happening here upon leaving.]

Definitely pink, [Jack decided with a crooked smile, looking back down toward the level as it was pointed out. Good enough tour for him. He glanced back at Martha and his grin widened.] It'll have to have yellow writing. [No masculinity whatsoever.]

Right. Pink with yellow writing on it. [Martha's voice was highly amused as they passed onto level 1.] Dining hall and kitchen. [A vague gesture to go with the laugh.] It's a bit sandwiches at the moment. Now then, Jack... do you think we should have a picture put on first, or wait for one where he's holding the baby?

Nothing wrong with sandwiches, [he commented idly, glancing out at the level as they continued on.] We'll wait to the baby spits up all over that favorite, sexy shirt of his. That picture can go on.

We really are cruel people, Jack. [Martha laughed quickly, linking her arm in his. It was like seeing Leo, only better to have him here.] We'll need to send out loads of the picture though. Like a christmas photo.
