It's bound to be better than the last bar I was at, anyway - speaking of, stay away from the Gliese system, kids. They aren't very friendly there. I've had better service in the Silver Devastation; and the hypervodka was watered down. Huge disappointment.

So I guess this is a fresh fresh start. Captain Jack Harkness, at your service. I'll be a warden here for a while. Now, who wants to start the introductions? I've got all the time in the world.

Most certainly. Some of them are almost benign and others are worse than you can imagine. Essentially the same as humans, by my measure, just with different abilities.

Of course, there aren't any of my world's brand of demons here, so my view is skewed.

Like I said, depends. Humans do a lot of evolving.

That's a curious answer. I'm sure you're not the same person you were a hundred years ago, and you can't mean evolution physically because people themselves don't individually evolve either.

No, but they breed. And when people get over things like romance between sexes, they'll get over sleeping with aliens. So humans in the twenty-first century aren't exactly what humans are in, say, the fifty-first.

I'm not really human like humans are human in the twenty-first century. I'm a lot like humans are human in a later century. You spend centuries going out into space and reproducing with all kinds of aliens, and you get a new kind of human. So it depends on how you're defining human.

But sure. I'm like a human except for how old I am.

Suffice to say that they've made themselves known around the Barge, and their universe is the second strangest I've encountered yet.

Oh yes, 'somehow'. We have the Rani and the Master as well, not to mention assorted others.

Strange as in it breaks all the laws of my universe, which is governed by, well, God. I am an angel, you know. Not precisely used to being out of my element.

The first most strange is where the Winchesters come from. That's entirely too long and personal a story for me to summarise for you, but I'm sure if you poke around you'll learn plenty.
