I'm starting to thing the Admiral works on a give take basis. He throws Davros aboard, but we get this almost immediately after.

It's been a while since I was a girl, I think I missed it. Everything's so bouncy and soft. Funny story, well, I guess it's a couple funny stories, but the first one's always the best. The Notrycon system's a funny little place.

Anyway, I can't decide if strip dodgeball's best played this way or if I should hold off till it's passed.

I have not been terribly nice to you.

[Jack shrugged.] You haven't been awful to me, either.

I don't want to be awful to anyone. [Another sigh.] Sometimes talking to people is so hard. I'm surprised I haven't given up and gone home.

[A shrug.] Probably because you're here for a reason. Talking isn't that difficult, Armand. You've been doing a fine job of it.

I am here for a reason.

Thank you again. I-I hope you enjoy your game. [Here he was again, picking up the tea cup to hide behind.]

[Jack lifted his own, mirroring Armand's actions.] I hope I do, too. You really should come watch, at least. Or we could play a regular game of dogeball first, no stripping required.

But-- [In person, it's harder for Armand to be stubborn without resorting to rudeness.] If you help me find some clothes, I will come watch at least the first game. I pray the players keep their clothes on.

[Jack held out his hand to shake, grinning.] I'll make that deal. Are there any women on the Barge you know? Any you're more comfortable around than others?

[Armand shook with some enthusiasm.] Well, there is Doctor Jones, perhaps Madame Sexby. I have to admit, I've avoided the ladies since Rose.

[The enthusiasm was returned, and Jack nodded.] I borrowed from Martha myself. Much as I love her style, I'm not sure it's for you. I don't know Madame Sexby, I'm afraid. How does she usually dress?

I have mostly seen her in skirts, but I understand she has a few trousers. She loaned clothing to my wife when Jeanne was visiting.

Then we'll ask her.

You're very brave. [But he's smiling.]

It can't be that bad. What's her first name? I'll ask for you.

Oh. [Armand had to think a bit, because he didn't commonly use first names.] Her given name is Angelica.

[Jack just grinned his entertainment, and nodded.] all right. I'll let you know when I've got clothes for you.

[Armand stood and gave Jack a bow, much less nervous than the one he gave in greeting. He picked up his now-empty tea cup and made a gesturing offering to take Jack's cup, if he was done with his coffee.] Thank you again. I am very grateful.

[Jack half rose to return the bow, but he waved his hand at the offer. Bad as it was, he wouldn't mind sitting here alone for a few moments, drinking.]

No problem. Really.

[With a cheerful nod, Armand ran off to the kitchen to wash the teacup.]
